We love going to visit with Joan and Jerry at their shop in Arthur, Illinois. We always find items to bring home.
Today we went to Cheese Fest and stopped inside this little store. Mr. Winters greeted us while we were looking at the wind chimes. I could tell immediately that he had much musical knowledge. He stood and told us personal stories of his time living in France. I really enjoyed listening to him. He definitely does NOT know a stranger. I was impressed with his art collection. When we walked outside, his well- dressed wife was sitting by the front entrance with her 2 sweet dogs. I'd like to speak with the Winters' again.
This isn't shopping, this is retail-tainment! The Winters' make you feel like you're mishpokhe (Yiddish for family) and guests in their home. You see something you like and they say take it (all right you do have to pay for it, but you don't mind). Jerry ended our visit with a song before "throwing us out." It was 4 o'clock. We'll be back again (and again, and again).
